Altra Home Storage Highlights DVD Selection

By Staff -- TWICE, 6/6/2005

Newest addition to the media storage family at the Altra division of Ameriwood Industries is a piece designed not only to store a consumer's vast collection of DVDs, but to display this as well.

The home storage unit, model MDA1036, considered both functional and stylish by the maker, has the ability to hold 180 DVDs. A unit can accommodate the display of up to eight DVD cases or the same number of 5-inch by 7-inch pictures, enabling users to customize the look of their storage.

The unit offers solid wood doors with Plexiglas to provide a “unique” way to display users' favorite DVD covers. The unit has four shelves, three adjustable, behind each door for “ample” concealed storage space of various media. Four center shelves, three adjustable, provide additional storage space for media.

The product is finished in American cherry, and is approximately 45 inches high by 31 inches wide by nearly 10 inches deep.

Suggested retail is $179, and availability is September 2005.
