Peter Whitsett, a former senior VP at Sears Holdings where he was responsible for general merchandising, has joined RadioShack as executive VP/GMM, reporting to CEO Julian Day. Whitsett fills a role last held by Wes Lowzinski, who was named senior VP/general merchandise manager last year. Lowzinski in turn succeeded Jim Hamilton, whose merchandising and marketing executive VP position was eliminated... Ed Zander, CEO of Motorola, is stepping down and Greg Brown, president/COO since March, has been selected to replace him as of Jan. 1. Zander will continue as chairman until Motorola's annual meeting in May 2008... Jac Currie, appointed by Brightpoint to lead the company's global IT team as chief information officer ... Alex Robertson named OmniMount's senior VP of sales for the U.S. and international markets .. Jeff Diehl, product marketing manager for Hewlett-Packard's worldwide commercial notebook accessories business, joins SOLO as senior director of OEM sales.
