Las Vegas — SanDisk and Sony will develop a new version of Memory Stick to push the format to two terabyte capacities.
The tentatively titled Memory Stick format for Extended High Capacity will be the high capacity successor to Memory Stick PRO.
A new Memory Stick HG Micro format is also under development, and promises to increase data transfer speeds of the diminutive format to 60 megabytes per second – three times faster than the original version.
