CES 2009: Lenmar Shows Several Power Accessories

By Staff -- TWICE, January 9, 2009

Lenmar Enterprises is showing a number of power accessories at International CES, Central Hall, booth 13848.

The company is unveiling its new R2G (ready to go) line of precharged, rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries, set to be available in early 2008.

The batteries come precharged and can be recharged up to 1000 times using any standard NiMH battery charger.

R2G batteries will be available in AA and AAA sizes and will be sold in packs of four and eight. Suggested pricing will range from $14.95 to $29.95.

Lenmar is also showing its PowerPort Kit at CES.

Model PPU2100BKIT is a power accessory kit and charging system for USB-compatible portable devices. The cordless charger is said to be powerful enough to recharge many devices in about two hours. The company said a fully charged PowerPort can provide up to five complete recharges per device or up to 50 hours of backup power.

The kit comes with AC and DC adapters so users on the go will likely need only the kit to power or charge all of their devices. It also comes with a 3-foot charging cable with adapters for the iPhone, iPod, PSP, Blackberry, Motorola Razr/Q and Palm Treo.

The PowerPort can be recharged via the AC and DC chargers included in the kit or via any powered USB port (including laptop computers).

It comes in a rugged, rubberized black finish and is currently available for a suggested $59.95.

Finally, Lenmar will also be showing its travel battery charger, the Solo XP. The product's universal adapter plate system is said to make it possible for the charger to charge batteries for most digital cameras and camcorders.

According to the company, the Solo XP is packaged in brand-specific versions for Sony, Nikon, Panasonic, Kodak, Canon, Samsung, JVC and Olympus/Casio products, and it has more models planned.

The charger also features a built-in USB power port so it can charge USB-charged devices.

The product is available now at a suggested $49.95 and comes with a three-year warranty.
