GameCube Price Cut Boosts Sales

REDMOND, WASH. — Nintendo reported sales of its GameCube home video console have more than quadrupled since it cut the suggested retail price to $99.99.
Nintendo plans to follow the price cut by introducing over 100 new titles before the end of the year.
Nintendo will support the products with a newly announced $50 million advertising and marketing campaign, which is part of a $100 million marketing push through the end of the year.
