XM Adds Markets To NavTraffic

Washington — XM Satellite Radio announced that its XM NavTraffic real-time traffic service will launch in 13 additional metro markets bringing the total coverage area to 44 markets.

The additional markets will be activated in the third quarter and will include Austin, Texas; Buffalo/Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Charlotte, N.C.; Columbus, Ohio; Hartford/New Britain/Middletown, Conn.; Indianapolis; Kansas City, Mo.; Las Vegas; Memphis and Nashville, Tenn.; Norfolk/Virginia Beach/Newport News, Va.; and Sarasota/Bradenton and West Palm Beach/Boca Raton, Fla.

XM NavTraffic delivers real-time traffic reports that are pictured as icons on a GPS user’s map display. The service is offered for an additional $3.99 per month when packaged with XM Satellite Radio’s subscription of $12.95 a month.
