RadioShack, Jabra Plug 'Hands-Free'

Staff -- TWICE, 3/12/2001

FORT WORTH, TEXAS -Radio-Shack and hands-free device maker Jabra have come together to partner a retailer/vendor promotion that combines increased product sales and safe wireless phone use while driving.

Until March 31, consumers who buy any cellular phone and Jabra hands-free headset from RadioShack will receive a $25 Cool Things Card from the retailer-good for an in-store purchase of that amount-and a $10 mail-in rebate from San Diego-based Jabra. The promotion was launched on Feb. 12.

Both RadioShack and Jabra are active in educating consumers about safe wireless phone use. This promotion allows consumers to be more responsible when driving by encouraging them to keep two hands on the wheel.

The promotion, which includes sales of any RadioShack cellphone, centers mainly on Nokia, Motorola and Samsung units. Retail prices on Jabra headsets range from $19.99 to $49.99.
