SunbriteTV Unveils 32-Inch All-Weather LCD HDTV

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 3/10/2009

SunbriteTV will unveil the 3230HD ($2,595 suggested) all-weather 32-inch LCD HDTV at EHX Expo.

Orlando, Fla. — SunBriteTV will use EHX Expo, here, to introduce a 32-inch all-weather outdoor LCD TV.

Model 3230HD, which has a $2,095 suggested retail, is positioned as a new lower-cost alternative for all-weather TV displays.

The unit uses an outdoor-rated ASA plastic resin exterior that protects the internal TV components from rain, dirt, insects and other outdoor elements.

An anti-reflective, impact- and scratch-resistant window protects the 1,366 by 768p HD resolution screen, which also boasts a 1,500:1 contrast ratio.

It includes built-in speakers and user-friendly operating controls that are also sealed against rain and moisture.

To address extremes in climate conditions, the 3230HD uses a filtered dual-fan airflow system to quietly cool the unit at temperatures up to 122 degrees. In cold climates, the internal thermostatically controlled heater activates automatically when the TV’s internal temperature dips to 32F degrees, enabling the TV to be placed in temperatures as low as 24F degrees.

Other features include a watertight cable entry system and cable pass-through design with connections supporting two HDMI leads, component video, VGA, S-Video, composite, RF and discreet IR control. The pass-through design ensures quick and easy hook-up, the company said.

The standard accessories that ship with Model 3230HD include the SunBriteTV’s water-resistant remote control with long-life lithium batteries, and a removable table-top stand.

SunBriteTV supports the product with a range of mounting options from ceiling mounts to articulating and tilt wall mounts. For additional placement choices, a deck/planter pole mount is also available.

The company will also show its entire line of all-weather outdoor products including the model 4610HD 46-inch 1080p FullHD LCD TV ($4,995 suggested retail), and the model 3220HD 32-inch HD LCD TV that has been reduced to $2,595 suggested retail and incorporates RS232 serial ports, discrete IR control, and a concealed IR window.

In addition the company is carrying the 2310HD 23-inch HD LCD TV ($1,995), and the 2310HD-Pro ($2,195) that carries the same features as 2310HD, with the added benefit of RS232 serial and discrete IR control.
