DisplaySearch Holds HDTV Conference

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — DisplaySearch's recent Summer HDTV Conference brought out the proved to be a good venue for retailers to vent about strong demand for 1,080p HDTV displays and the lack of high quality 1,080p Blu-ray Disc material available to demonstrate their full capabilities to customers (see TWICE, Aug. 21, p. 1)

Manufacturers attending the conference were almost universally optimistic about their expectations for strong sales of almost anything with HDTV this holiday season, although EDTV displays that don't quite make the HDTV grade were shown to be dropping by DisplaySearch reseach.
