Los Angeles — A day-long summit for Blu-ray developers, called Blu-Con 1.0, will be held on Dec. 8 in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The event is sponsored by the Digital Entertainment Group (DEG), Variety, Video Business and Content Agenda. It is being conducted at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The event will provide a platform to discuss topics including BD-Live, Digital Copy, Blu-ray and music. Other sessions will cover authoring, replication, packing and software.
"This event is a call to action for the home entertainment community to share knowledge about Blu-ray’s marketing success while focusing on new opportunities for Blu-ray in the future," said DEG president and Warner Home Video president Ron Sanders.
Blu-Con 1.0 will precede the Video Hall of Fame event, which is scheduled to take place that evening at the same hotel.
Registration is $295 for DEG members and $495 for all others. For sponsorship information, contact Linda Buckley at (323) 965-2402 or via email: lbuckley@reedbusiness.com. More information is available at www.blu-con.com.
