Vantage Point Simplifies Flat-Panel Mounting

Santa Fe Springs, Calif. — The Universal Flat-Panel One Mount, or UFO, as it has been nicknamed by maker Vantage Point, has been designed to make installation of flat-panel televisions and monitors a one-person job.
Featuring ease of use, from specifying to wiring, this newest addition to Vantage Point's Cinemagear line of products is designed to support the art of creating home theater, using a lightweight aluminum rail that can be mounted to a wall. Brackets are mounted to the back of the monitor, then the monitor hooks onto the horizontal rail.
The company said there is no need to pre-connect any wires, since the monitor can be safely tilted downward to complete the wiring process at any time. The unit is said to offer the greatest adjustable forward tilt range on the market, up to 90 degrees, and its wall brackets adjust for various wall-stud spacing.
The mount offers lateral positioning for both the rail and monitor, making it easier to obtain perfect alignment in the most challenging installations, said the company.
At a suggested $399.99 retail, the UFO will attach to monitors with hole patterns typical of larger LCD televisions, as well as to varying hole patterns found on larger 50-inch plasma displays.
