Directed Intros Sirius Products

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 1/7/2008

Directed is showing several new Sirius products including two devices that convert XM factory radios to Sirius.

The company is also shipping the Sirius back seat TV announced this summer, and is launching new security products.

Sirius back seat TV delivers three channels of live kids programming to most vehicles with a rear seat entertainment system. The $299 system includes a display module, a hideaway black-box receiver and two remote controls. Sirius back seat TV, model SCV1, receives 24/7 Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Cartoon Network programming for a service fee of $6.99 per month plus the $12.95 Sirius audio monthly fee.

XM radios in Honda, Acura, Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles can now be converted to Sirius with two adapters. They combine with a standard SiriusConnect $49 tuner so that all the controls and displays on the factory radio shift over to Sirius. The HON-SC1 for Honda and Acura shipped in December at a suggested $99. The TOY-SC1 for Toyota, Lexus and Scion is also $99.
