SpeakerCraft's Starlets

Riverside, Calif. - SpeakerCraft's Starlets will shine in June, when the company ships three tall, narrow in-wall Starlet speakers for home theater and critical music-listening applications.

The trio ranges in price from $3,500-$7,000/pair with own aluminum back boxes. The company's most expensive speakers were $2,500/pair.

They feature ribbon tweeters and multiple 5.25-inch woofers. The smallest model looks good next to an on-wall plasma TV, the company said.

Other new speakers, available in the past few weeks, include a new line of round and rectangular architectural speakers with 8-inch woofers. The round models are priced at a suggested $350-$850/pair, and the rectangular models' suggested retails are $699-$2,500/pair. The three-way rectangular models feature rotating tweeter/midrange assembly for horizontal or vertical installation. The tweeter also pivots. The two-way round models feature pivoting tweeter.

Integra's New Client

The 9.4 comes with Dolby Digital EX and DTS ES decoding and Chad touchscreen remote.

Like two NetTune-equipped receivers, the 9.4 connects via Ethernet to a central Net-Tune HDD 12-zone music server that stores music in MP3, WMA, and uncompressed PCM formats. The 9.4 and the receivers also connect via Ethernet to broadband modems to access MP3- and WMA-based noninteractive Internet radio stations.

A dedicated client incorporates an AM/FM tuner, amplifier, and built-in reception of MP3 and WMA-based Internet radio stations via a broadband connection.

Also new: a $3,000-suggested DTA 9.4 seven-channel digital amplifer rated at 7x120 watts simultaneously into 8 ohms.
