Oculus Bows HDMI Cables, Redesigns Line

By Staff -- TWICE, 1/30/2006

A variety of new cabling from Oculus Designs made its debut at the International CES in Las Vegas earlier this month.

Oculus, a Jackson, Mo.-based cable and home theater products maker, introduced new HDMI cables said to offer consumers a better overall value, while maintaining the “cutting-edge performance” that has been established as a standard in many of the more expensive HDMI cables currently on the market.

HDMI cabling — expected to continue to develop as a category into the industry standard in the transfer of digital audio/video — is available in 1-meter, 2-meter and 4-meter lengths from Oculus.

The company also featured its complete line of redesigned audio and video cabling for the home market. These have been redesigned and packaged with the home theater professional in mind.

The new line includes innovative forms of interconnects such as composite, S-video and component. The line also will include analog and digital audio interconnects and feature a good and a better series with much more attractive retail packaging.

Pre-packaged cables are available in standard lengths. Custom cables, wall plates and network cables are available to meet any specific home theater requirement, said the company.
