Office Depot Adds PC Security

Pre-Installs McAfee Software For Service Package Customers

Santa Clara, Calif. — Office Depot and McAfee have teamed to provide McAfee Internet security solutions to customers through the retailer’s Tech Depot Services program.

Customers who purchase a new PC from Office Depot will now received McAfee security software installed automatically with the purchase of a Protection and Performance service package.

Tech Depot Services will offer two packages to customers that will feature McAfee software. The Protection and Performance service installs, updates and configures a full version of McAfee VirusScan Plus security software for a one-year subscription for $99.99. The new PC will also have its settings optimized to speed up startup and processing times and all unnecessary software will be removed.

The step-up $139.99 Premium Protection and Performance service includes the same performance-enhancing features as the basic package but includes McAfee Internet Security Suite software.
