Home Theater Store Joins PRO Group

BY ALAN WOLF -- TWICE, 1/8/2007

Northbrook, Ill. — Home Theater Store, Mihir Mody’s eight-unit A/V specialty chain in Texas, has joined the PRO Group buying organization, becoming its 18th member.

Home Theater Store had been a long-time member of the Home Theater Specialists of America buying group (HTSA), where Mody had served as a board member and president. “While it was a very difficult decision to part from HTSA and close friends for years,” he said, “specifically [executive director] Richard Glikes, [Gramophone’s] Brian Hudkins and [Hi Fi House’s] Jon Robbins, we at Home Theater Store feel PRO Group brings unique values to help grow our revenue and model to the next level as the PRO members have a wealth of experience in operating multiple storefronts.”

“I am looking forward to meeting all PRO Group members and hope to share and learn more from them,” Mody added.

Dave Workman, executive director of the $2.4 billion PRO Group, commented, “It is extremely rewarding to have an organization with the reputation and unique market position of Home Theater Store choose PRO Group to help build their business to the next level. Mihir Mody, CEO and founder of Home Theater Store, has demonstrated a successful strategy of positioning his company in the markets he serves through an intense focus on design, innovation and service to the customer.”

“I speak for all of the members of PRO in welcoming Home Theater Store and their involvement in the group in what will be a mutually beneficial relationship for years to come,” Workman said.

Home Theater Store maintains eight showrooms in Austin, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston and Phoenix, Ariz.
