AVX Joins HTSA

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Audio Video Excellence (AVX), a custom design and installation business based here, has joined Home Theater Specialists of America, becoming the A/V buying group's 58th member.
The company, headed by Jared Lewis, specializes in custom design and installation of home theater, home automation, lighting control and multiroom audio systems for both residential and commercial applications. The seven-year-old business has two locations, in Birmingham and Florida, and Lewis is planning to open a third location in Nashville, Tenn.
"In our efforts to maintain an efficient and well-managed organization, we recognize that there are great benefits in working with a highly acclaimed group like HTSA," said Lewis. "We bring to the table a heritage of excellent technical performance together with an unrelenting resolve to provide our customers with the very best in products and services. We currently work with some of the best vendors in our industry and would like to continue to improve on these relationships both for AVX and its partner vendors. We believe that our membership in HTSA would enhance our relationships with many of these vendors and possibly some new ones."
HTSA executive director Richard Glikes said, "Jared Lewis and AVX represent the next wave of young lions to prosper in our complicated business.
