Seiko Launches Mini-Keyboard For Handhelds

Torrance, Calif. — Seiko Instruments Austin is offering its mobile mini-keyboard solution, called the Thumboard, which slips directly onto a user's handheld.
It covers the graffiti area and interfaces with the serial port, and is said by Seiko to go beyond general keyboard functionality with the inclusion of Palm OS Hot Keys and text editing capabilities by way of the Command function key.
With its QWERTY keyboard, direct numeric keys and an extensive character set, the Thumboard is ideal for typing notes and messages, as well as updating calendar and contact information. Its small size and ease of integration enables the user to keep it on the device at all times, barely increasing the size of the PDA.
Suggested retail is $39.99.
