Mobile Edge SecurePack Keeps Notebooks Protected

Anaheim, Calif. — Mobile Edge, a designer of notebook carrying cases and accessories, unveiled a new computer backpack today — the SecurePack, which is designed to prevent access to the interior of the bag while it's being worn.
With no exposed zippers or exterior pockets, and resembling a turtle shell or baseball catcher's chest protector, the design is meant to ensure that nothing can be stolen, even when worn on crowded streets or in airports. The only way to gain access to the backpack is to remove the pack from the wearer's back and open a hidden zippered section that is positioned next to the back.
The backpack's design is meant to evenly distribute weight across a wearer's shoulders, featuring padded protection and capacity for notebooks with up to 17-inch screens, as well as accessories, files, an iPod/MP3 media pocket with a headphone pass-through port, and additional space for power cables and other personal items.
The SecurePack carries a suggested retail of $79 and comes in two color patterns: a black with yellow trim pack (model MEBSP4) and an urban camouflage print (model MEBSP6).
The backpacks are scheduled to begin shipping this month.
