Pioneer Intros Promos, Amps

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 5/7/2007

Pioneer introduced a unique car promotion and announced the winner of its first demo vehicle build-off contest.

In addition the company announced a new line of competition digital amplifiers as well as its new personal navigation device. (See "Pioneer Bows Portable GPS, Amps" on www.TWICE.com.)

In a new promotion, Pioneer created a portable "night club." The company developed a 50-foot dome that houses a suspended DJ booth, two demo cars and can support 200 visitors at a time. Pioneer product imagery is projected on a 360-degree dome ceiling to provide a "club-like" atmosphere, said the company. The Pioneer Dome will travel to over 25 events this year, and a second 30-foot dome will also be available at 10 venues to be announced.

Pioneer also announced that Audio Video Concepts of Kenner, La., won its demo vehicle build-off contest.
