NARDA Elects President, Officers

Michael Fischer, president of Nielsen's in Spencer, Iowa, has been elected president of North American Retail Dealers Association (NARDA).

He replaces Robert Cremer of Aronson Furniture, Appliances & Electronics of Chicago, who served three terms as president, who remains on the board as chairman.

NARDA has also elected several officers: first VP, Randy Whitehead, Service West of Salt Lake City; second VP, Michael Corder, Hod's Home Electronics Center, Waterford, Mich.; secretary, Leon Barbachano, Allen & Peterson Home Décor, Anchorage, Alaska; and treasurer, Timothy Seavey, Seavey's Furniture & Appliance, Windham, Maine.

Remaining on the board as directors are: Garey Alimia, A-1 Home Appliance, Harvey, La.; Bill Benson, Benson's Appliance, Bloomington, Ill.; Larry Clark, The Music Store Inc., Greenfield, Mass.; Oliver Dyer, Oliver Dyer's Appliance, Fort Worth, Tex.; "Itchy" Popkin, Furniture Fair, Jacksonville, N.C.; and Kent Renier, Reiner of Dubuque, Iowa.
