Soundations Racks Hold Home Theater Systems

By Staff -- TWICE, 2/13/2006

Soundations, which designs and makes A/V support solutions for home theater entertainment systems, is introducing a number of equipment racks.

The company's HF and AV series racks are designed to integrate high-performance audio and video systems into modern interiors without compromising equipment performance or interior aesthetics. All internal shelving is decoupled from the outer “isolation cradle” using adjustable bushings. Racks are available in five basic models with differing combinations of glass and shelving and a variety of finishes. Suggested retail is $999 for the base price HF series and from $799 to $1,399 for the AV series.

F1 series racks require no shelving. Audio components appear to be suspended in mid-air, but are supported by adjustable, clamping “fingers.” These are available in four basic models in a variety of finishes. Suggested retail is $899 for the base price.

The top-of-the-line Ultimo HF equipment rack employs the same technology as the HF and AV series models. In addition, all internal shelves are double-decoupled from the outer “isolation cradle” using an adjustable rubberized suspension system that allows for highly effective acoustic isolation. Suggested retail is $1,999 for the base price.

Prices vary somewhat for all series, depending on the exact model, but not a great deal from the base prices, said Soundations.

Also introduced are Elio Equipment racks. These are available in three models — Broadway, Morph and Papillon — and are designed to serve the needs pf a broader market for equipment supports at affordable prices without sacrificing quality or style.

Two of the three Broadway models are suitable for medium to large plasma or LCD systems. The third model supports five components.

The Morph and Papillon are suitable for medium to large plasma or LCD systems, with structures built to support the screen directly above a center-channel speaker and several additional components.
