Haier Hires VAC

NEW YORK — Haier America has appointed VAC Service Corp. to honcho its national service administration program.
Under terms of the agreement, VAC will handle customer requests for Haier parts and accessories via its in-bound call center, and will also refer customers to appropriate servicers for Haier's broad line of major appliances and consumer electronics products.
In other extended service contract news, Rex Stores has tapped Warrantech Corp. to assume control of its after-market direct sales and customer renewal program. Under terms of the 18-month agreement, Warrantech is employing direct mail and telemarketing to offer service contract, product replacement and renewal coverage to Rex customers on their consumers electronics and major appliance purchases.
