Audiovox Sues Vizualogic

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 1/5/2009

Hauppauge, N.Y. — Audiovox has filed a complaint for patent infringement against Vizualogic, a division of TMI Products, Inc.

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, alleges infringement on two Audiovox patents for all-in-one monitor/DVD systems in overhead and headrest car entertainment systems.

Pat Lavelle, president and CEO of Audiovox said, “We have been successful in our patent infringement suits before and will take the necessary steps to prevail.”

Last month Audiovox reached a settlement with INViSiON Industries on a patent infringement suit where INViSiON will pay licensing and royalty fees and payment for past damages, said Audiovox.

Audiovox has previously licensed Epsilon Electronics, Rosen Entertainment, Icon TV, Audiobahn and others under Audiovox’s all-in-one overhead patent.
