Western Digital Adds FireWire 800 To My Passport Studio Drives

Lake Forest, Calif. — Western Digital has enhanced its My Passport Studio portable drives for Mac users with the addition of the FireWire 800 interface.

The drive now offers FireWire 400/800 and USB interfaces with storage capacities of up to 500GB. The devices weigh less than 7 ounces.

The devices are available now for suggested prices of $249 for the 500GB version and $229 for the 400GB version.
