New PC Speakers From Altec Lansing

MILFORD, PA. — Plantronics' Altec Lansing division announced the new Expressionist Classic (FX2020) amplified computer audio system.

The system has a retro stylistic look. Industrial, cylindrical cabinets give a nod to classic speaker elements such as compression drivers and oversized bezels, the company said.

The 15-watt RMS system has custom, dual 3-inch drivers that produce a sound pressure level of 90dB. Each speaker is 7.5 watts per channel at 8 ohms with a system response of 50Hz to 19 kHz. The system measures 5 inches by 6.5 inches deep by 5 inches high. It is available now at a suggested retail of $79.95.
