Sony Unveils Colorful Notebooks

San Diego - Sony today introduced the new FJ line of fashionably designed Vaio notebook computers that come with a palette of five case colors.

The FJ Series, $1,400 suggested retail price, will start shipping this month with the onyx black being the first available at retail. Models sporting pearl white, raspberry red, jade green and sky blue will sell at SonyStyle stores and Sony’s online store in November. Pre-orders for all models are being accepted.

All the notebooks feature a 14.1-inch display and on a Intel Pentium M 740 1.7GHz processor. Other features include a 100GB hard drive, 802.11b/g wireless networking, 512MB of memory (expandable to 2GB) and the consumer can choose from a variety of DVD and CD burners.
