Sir:
I recently purchased a pair of Nikon 10X25 Sprotstar binoculars. I found them to be defective with my first use outside the store. I paid cash for these and left my reciept in Oregon in my RV. I live in Alaska and do not have access to the receipt at this time. I returned these binoculars for warantee repair and was sent a bill for $20 to repair what I believe to be a factory defect. Talking to a supervisor, I was told since I did not have a reciept, it was suspicious and even stated that I may have stolen them.
I did send in my warante card, but this is of no help. I have asked them to return these defective binoculars to me as i am most upset with the Nikon repair departments aproach of wanting $20 to fix a factory defect. I have never been treated like this on a warantee problem.
What do you suggest I do?? I would be happy to get my $60 back that I paid for these defective binoculars and go where I will be teated faily.
