Allsop CD Organizer Brings Versatility To Home Storage
By Staff -- TWICE, 9/19/2005
Bellingham, Wash. — Allsop is offering CD Organizer, a “versatile and expandable” home storage rack that is said to make organizing CD collections easier.
Appealing to consumers who want to alphabetize or sort by category, the unit offers slot-less design that accommodates instant rearranging. It features Allsop's Tension Grip, or spring-like fingers, that hold CDs in place, while allowing them to slide back and forth as needed. This means a consumer can insert any disc anywhere in the unit without the time or hassle of moving surrounding discs from slot to slot.
Each organizer holds up to 25 standard jewel cases or 50 slim-line jewel cases, and can accommodate double- or triple-CD sets in any position. The modular system is expandable and CD organizers can be stacked or placed side by side, either horizontally or vertically. The unit comes in black at a suggested $6.99 retail.
Although the CD organizer has been a best-selling item for the company over time, Allsop said, it has not had widespread retail distribution for about two years. It is currently shipping.
