Fujifilm Packaging Simplifies Consumer Choices

Valhalla, N.Y. — Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. is unveiling an optical media packaging system that offers a new design which is part of an overall Fujifilm marketing effort to simplify consumer choice.
The new recordable DVD package design, which follows a successful change last year to the company's consumer film and consumer videotape packaging, incorporates larger format designations and consumer information within a contrasting black and platinum color scheme for improved readability.
The design will be incorporated in all Fujifilm DVD products, including the new Fujifilm 16x and double-layer (DL) products, and the +R/RW/DL, -R/RW/DL, DVD-RAM and camcorder DVD formats. The CD recordable media will be differentiated with black and gold coloring for CD-R and CD-RW, in both music and data formats.
Fujifilm also is introducing a new brand and logo for Oxolife, its Oxonol-based photosensitive dye that first debuted last fall in 1x-16x DVD+R discs. The new recording layer ultimately lowers environmental impact by introducing an organic compound to the DVD manufacturing process.
