Plantronics Launches 3rd-Gen Wireless Headset

Santa Cruz, Calif. — Plantronics today introduced the new CS70N Professional wireless headset system, its third-generation headset that is designed for traditional and IP desk phones.
Based on the company’s CS70, the CS70N ($329 suggested retail) features a specially designed boom and noise-canceling microphone that reportedly eliminates distracting background noise in any office environment, and that can swivel for use on either ear. The audio, “combined with remote answer/end capabilities, helps the Plantronics CS70N put an end to office ‘phone tag’ — ensuring important calls are never missed,” said the company in a release. It said that users can be up to 300 feet away from their desk to take a call.
The headset is built on digitally encrypted, voice-dedicated DECT 6.0 technology, and it offers a behind-the-ear design. It weighs in at 0.75 ounces; features one-touch call answer/end, volume and mute headset controls; provides up to six hours of in-use battery life; and has 64-bit digital encryption. An integrated base and charging cradle is also included.
