Duracell Bows New Digicam Batteries

By Staff -- TWICE, 12/19/2005

The new nickel oxyhydroxide (NiOOH) chemistry is being powered into the new Duracell PowerPix disposable battery, said to offer significantly better performance in digital cameras than standard alkaline cells.

The battery, specifically designed for the needs of the current growing base of digital camera users, delivers up to twice as many shots in digital cameras, providing greater convenience for consumers, especially those who use their cameras about two to three times per month and who take about 21 to 80 photos per month.

Available in AA and AAA sizes, the batteries deliver up to two times as many digital pictures as standard alkaline cells. The batteries will be available next February at a suggested $5.99 for a four-pack.
