KNG Makes iPod Move

By Joseph Palenchar -- TWICE, 6/22/2006

Deer Park, N.Y. — KNG America, marketer of novelty electronics, launched its first iPod speaker system/recharger, the $99-suggested FUNKit.

With iPod attached, FUNKit looks like a robot DJ whose arms move to scratch a pair of turntables.

It’s due in the fall for use with all iPods, including the nano, Mini, and video-capable iPod. It can be attached to larger powered speakers as well.

KNG plans additional iPod accessories, including a King Kong version of the FUNKit.

KNG America, formerly known as Kash ‘N Gold, has been in business since 1983 and markets CE products branded with such names as Disney, Harley-Davidson, NACSAR, Jeep, Fox, Marvel And Dreamworks. Its Disney license enables it to market products bearing the likenesses of Disney characters.
