CES 2009: SD Card to Hit 2TB

Las Vegas — The SD card format will hit the 2TB mark with blazing data speeds of up to 300 megabytes
per-second thanks to the new SDXC (extended capacity) specification.
The SD Card Association announced the specification at the International CES show, here.
The specification will be available to manufacturers in the first quarter of 2009. Initial cards will be able to offer data transfer speeds of upto 104MBps this year, the Association said.
