Pacific Digital Updates Digital Frame Line

Staff -- TWICE, 1/17/2005

Digital frame manufacturer Pacific Digital made several product intros at CES, including a new digital photo frame with MP3 playback, a portable photo viewer and a high-end product for business use.

The MemoryFrame PV1, for a suggested $199, is capable of displaying digital images, playing MP3 music files and displaying video. It features a 5.6-inch TFT screen for displaying JPEG images at 320 by 234 resolution; a video out for connecting to a television; and slots for SD, MMC, CompactFlash and Memory Stick flash memory cards. It ships this month with 3D PicturePro software.

The company also entered the portable viewer market with the MemoryFrame Wallet. The unit features a 2-inch TFT screen and draws power from several sources: USB, AC adapter, mini light power tap and batteries. It can store 100 photos in its internal memory, and users can add sound clips to each slide.

The MemoryFrame Wallet ships in March for a suggested $69.99.

For business users, the company introduced the Digi-Sign for a list price of $995. Capable of displaying up to 80 images, the Digi-Sign will be available with a variety of options such as desktop and pole stands, VESA mounting brackets, wireless adapters, Ethernet adapters and decorative frames.

Also for business use, Pacific Digital announced new S3 Scheduling Software for remotely managing digital signage via the Web.
