Coby Bows MP3s, LCD TVs

LAS VEGAS — Coby Electronics will unveil a plethora of new products, including MP3 players and an LCD TV at booth 11906, Central Hall, during International CES.
The company's MP3 offerings center on the MP725 and MP836 Touchpad/MP3 players. The former features a 2.4-inch LCD with the capability to play videos and music and has an integrated FM radio. It will come in 4GB and 8GB capacities. The MP836 steps up with a 3-inch display and adds a Micro SD slot. It will be available in the same sizes as the MP725.
The Coby TV introduction is the FTFV1923, a 19-inch widescreen LCD that is wall mountable and has built-in speakers.
Other new products include two portable DVD players, the TFDVD7751 and the TFDVD1023. The 7751 has dual 7-inch screens, two headphone sets and twin headrest-mounting bags. The player incorporates anti-skip circuitry and a rechargeable battery. The 1023 is a single 10-inch display that can swivel 180 degrees for table-top viewing. It comes with a headrest-mount bag, car adapter, rechargeable battery and remote.
Completing Coby's CES rollout are two 8-inch digital photo frames, the DP850-1G and the DP-858. The first model has 1GB of internal memory and can be mounted on a wall or used on a table. It has a built-in MP3 player and speakers so users can play slideshows that are accompanied with music or other audio. The second model adds wireless streaming and the ability to upload images from the Internet. It also has 1GB of internal memory and supports a variety of flash-media cards.
Pricing and shipping information were not available at press time.
