Office Depot Expands Rewards Program

By Colleen Bohen -- TWICE, 9/24/2007

Office Depot has unveiled its Worklife Rewards 10% Plus program, an expansion of its original Worklife Rewards customer rewards program.

With the new program, customers can get 10 percent back when they purchase ink, toner and paper and also when they use the retailer's Design, Print and Ship services. According to a release, the program also offers customers an additional 1 percent back on nearly all other purchases.

Members of the program receive their rewards via an Office Depot Reward card once they earn a minimum of $10. According to the company, there is no limit to the amount of rewards members can earn. Office Depot noted in a release that if a customer fails to earn the required $10 during a calendar quarter, his or her balance will carry over quarter to quarter during the calendar year.

The retailer's My Worklife Partners program is said to provide members opportunities for additional savings on travel, retail and service purchases from the select companies that Office Depot has partnered with including Avis, Orbitz, 1-800-Flowers, Enterprise, Budget and Ameriprise Financial, among others.

Office Depot said it redesigned www.myworkliferewards.com and that members who visit can now find and take advantage of special offers and discounts. The site also allows members to manage their own accounts online, check their reward status, add a purchase to their account if the card was not presented at checkout and update their member information.

In order to promote the updated program, Office Depot is offering its members a chance to win a Roush Stage 3 Mustang signed by Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Office Depot race car, and Jack Roush, co-owner of Roush Fenway Racing. The sweepstakes began Sept. 1 and will run though Oct. 20; all qualified Worklife Rewards members will be automatically entered anytime they make a purchase using their membership card or number during that period.
