Belkin Bows Zune Accessories

In the wake of last week's launch of Microsoft's Zune portable media player, Belkin has rolled out a line of accessories for the Zune, including an FM transmitter, backup battery pack and a variety of cases.

The TuneBase Transmitter for Zune (F8M026) features a built-in FM transmitter that wirelessly connects to a car stereo, transmitting on FM channels 88.1 MHz-107.9 MHz. It has an LCD display with backlighting that displays FM frequency and memory selection and has three programmable memory presets. It includes a 3.5mm audio line-out for use with cars with MP3 audio line-in or with cassette adapters. A flexible steel neck positions the Zune in either portrait or landscape mode.

The TuneBase ships this month with a suggested retail of $79.99.

Also new from Belkin is the TunePower for Zune (F8M027), a rechargeable protective case that can extend playtime by up to six hours. It has a foldout kickstand that supports the Zune in landscape mode for hands-free video viewing. It ships with an AC power adapter and has a suggested retail of $59.99.

Belkin is also shipping a variety of protective cases for the Zune including a metal-topped, form-fitting clear acrylic case with a detachable belt clip and stand (F8M028, $29.99 MSPR); the Folio Kickstand Case (F8M031, $29.99), an adjustable kickstand case that allows for a better video-viewing angle and protects the Zune's screen with clear cover; a stain-resistant microfiber holster case (F8M030, $29.99); a neoprene jacket case (F8M034, $19.99); and a the ClearScreen Overlay screen protector (F8M035, $14.99.)

All products in the line will ship this month.
