LAS VEGAS — Ed Sachs, president of Pioneer's mobile business group, is leaving the company, he told his staff at International CES, without revealing his future plans.
Sachs worked for Pioneer for close to 30 years, starting as a regional rep, said Larry Rougas, Pioneer marketing and product planning VP for the mobile group.
Sachs is considered a leader of the car electronics industry and was the idea man behind the launch of the industry's recent 12 Volt Initiative to create a unified marketing campaign. No replacement for Sachs has been named.
