Success Story: Apple MacBook

By Staff -- TWICE, 8/18/2008

Apple dominated the list of top 10 notebook computer units sold between June 2007 and May 2008, according to market research firm The NPD Group. The company's consumer-targeted MacBook earned five slots on the list including the leading place, and its MacBook Pro grabbed a sixth. Steven Baker, NPD's industry analysis VP, attributed the company's success in terms of unit sales to the fact that it tends to refresh its SKUs less often than many of its competitors.
