Cellboost Intros iRecharge Rechargeable Power Line

Las Vegas — In response to what the company calls consumer need for instantaneous portable power that can be recharged, Compact Power Systems, maker of the Cellboost line of products, previewed its entirely new iRecharge line at International CES, held here earlier in January.
The iRecharge line from the Woodland Hills, Calif.-based company is for iPod nano, camcorders, laptops, portable DVD players and the Sony PSP. The company previously introduced an iRecharge for the iPod, iPod Mini and iPod Shuffle last September. The new line provides between three and 12 additional hours of rechargeable power.
The iRecharge models fit seamlessly into the standard A/V charging port, while restoring power to a dead or dying device within seconds, without using electrical outlets, battery changes or cords. The iRecharge line simultaneously powers and recharges mobile electronics devices anywhere a consumer goes.
Among the products in the line is the iRecharge for laptops, at a suggested $149.99 retail, which is a small, lightweight and low-cost lithium-ion battery that provides up to three extra hours of usage time. The iRecharge for iPod nano, at $49.99, provides up to 12 hours of additional play time. The iRecharge for Sony PSP, $29.99, provides up to eight hours of playing time. The iRecharge for portable DVD players, $59.99, and the camcorder, $49.99, offer up to three hours.
