NATM Group Adds Grants

By Staff -- TWICE, 6/23/2003

Grants Appliance & Electronics has joined the NATM Buying Corp., becoming its 11th member.

The Joliet, Ill.-based regional chain operates six appliance/electronics stores in the Chicago market. Founded as a single hardware store more than 75 years ago, it was acquired by current ownership in 1993 and expanded its presence into major appliances and a broader selection of brown goods.

"We look forward to becoming a strong member of the NATM organization," said Grants' president George Olsen. "Based on our plans for growth and commitment to the appliance/electronics categories, we're excited about the opportunities that NATM offers. We look forward to working with all the NATM members."

Grants is the second recent addition to NATM. In April the group added Boscov's, the Reading, Pa.-based department store chain.
