Garmin, Lowrance Ship New GPS

Olathe, Kan. — Garmin and Lowrance will ship new GPS products this month.
Garmin announced it will deliver a new nuvi portable GPS with a large, 4.3-inch touch screen, marking a new top end to its consumer GPS lineup.
The nuvi 660 also combines a built-in traffic receiver, FM transmitter and a bright display.
The traffic receiver is built-in to the unit's 12-volt adapter cable and is bundled with three months of service plus $60 for each 15-months of service thereafter.
Also included is Bluetooth for hands-free calling and an SD slot for travel and language guides. The nuvi 660 has a suggested retail of $1076.
Also scheduled to ship this month is the iWay 250c by Lowrance. The new bargain priced unit has a built-in MP3 player and picture viewer with 3.5-inch, 16-bit color touch screen. Maps of the United States and Canada are stored on a 2GB SD card. Suggested retail is $349.
