Digicam Execs Review Market

By Staff -- TWICE, 8/4/2003

The digital camera market has eclipsed the early adopters to reach the "soccer mom" demographic, presenting manufacturers and retailers with a whole new set of challenges, according to panelists at the TWICE Digital Imaging Roundtable.

Among challenges those are basic issues of supply and demand, as vendors offered mixed predictions about the possibility of product shortages during the upcoming holiday selling season.

Eight leading vendors gathered to discuss the following topics:

  • Product Shortages

  • The Year in Review

  • Retail Landscape

  • Separation from the PC

  • Camera Phones A Threat?

  • Printing at Retail.

The Roundtable was moderated by imaging editor Greg Scoblete. The report begins on p. 25.
