Wal-Mart To Carry Comcast

Philadelphia— Comcast will begin offering its broadband, VoIP and digital video services at 500 Wal-Mart stores this spring. The launch will feature a new integrated broadband kit that combines a Motorola SB5120 modem with Comcast's self-install kit for $59.97. The all-in-one kit will be merchandised within Wal-Mart's new “Connection Centers,” which carry a wide range of service-based home-entertainment products including HDTVs, computer monitors, speakers, MP3 players, Web cams and digital cameras, along with video, phone, broadband, wireless and audio services. “Our partnership with Wal-Mart further supports our continuing efforts to develop new ways to offer Comcast services to consumers at a time and place that's convenient for them,” said Bob Faught, retail sales senior VP for the multiple system operator.
