New York — Sony Creative Software has started shipping four new versions of its audio/video editing and music creation software.
Redesigned to work with Microsoft’s Vista operating system is Vegas Movie Studio, Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition, Sound Forge Audio Studio and ACID Music Studio. All four titles have their roots in professional-level software originally developed by Sonic Foundry prior to its purchase by Sony four years ago, said Dave Chaimson, Sony Creative Software’s worldwide marketing VP.
The Vegas Platinum title can create HD video and is particularly designed to work with HDR-SR5, HDR-CX7 and HDR-SR7 AVCHD camcorders.
Vegas Movie Studio, Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition, Sound Forge Audio Studio and ACID Music Studio carry suggested retails of $89, $129, $69 and $69, respectively.
Sony also will ship a new title this fall named Photo Go, a digital photo editing and management application. It will carry a $29 suggested retail.
