LAS VEGAS — Panasonic announced packaging improvements for its Alkaline for Digital and Alkaline Plus battery lineup here at CES earlier this month. The improvements are said to deliver on the battery maker's commitment to providing consumers new ways to address their growing needs, by adding a user-friendly and durable recloseable container.
With consumers purchasing batteries in greater quantities today, in order to power a growing number of consumer electronics, Secaucus, N.J.-based Panasonic said it is providing a recloseable container to organize these batteries.
Called convenient and easy-to-use packaging by the company, emphasis is placed upon making users' lives easier by going a step beyond what they normally would expect from a battery, including elimination of digging through drawers to find loose batteries.
The recloseable container is available for all Panasonic alkaline batteries, including AAA, AA, C,D and 9V cells.
In Alkaline for Digital, where all sizes are packed 12 to a package, AA and AAA cells have suggested $11.99 retails, while C, D and 9V are $9.99.
Alkaline Plus has a suggested retail of $8.99 for C, packed as 24, and D, packed as 16. AAA and 9V cells, both packed as 36, have a $10.99 and $8.99 suggested retail, respectively. AA alkalines, packed 24, also have a $10.99 suggested retail.
