said it drew the largest crowds of spectators in many years to witness soundoff contests and other events, said SBN founder Paul Papadeas.

Preliminary estimates pegged attendance at 11,000 for the annual event, held this year on March 14-15.

The world record for the IASCA idBL contest for sound pressure level (SPL) was broken during the festival by Craig Butler at an SPL of 181 dB.

Industry meetings and seminars were also conducted during the event by brands including JL Audio, JBL, Memphis Car Audio, AAMP/Singer and Audiocontrol.

The dates for next year’s Spring Break Nationals will be March 13-14 during the peak weekend of the spring holiday for colleges across the country.
