iSound Designs A Richer Sound For PlayStation

Staff -- TWICE, 11/6/2000

SEATTLE -A First Person Sound accessory for the PlayStation and PlayStation2 video game consoles is available from iSound.

The iSound FPS-designed to enhance gameplay by immersing gamers in a rich, stereo sound environment-connects to a PlayStation via the multi-A/V port, the same port used to connect the game console to the television. Two headphone jacks provide high-quality sound with independent, two-player volume control, the company said.

iSound FPS is sold with one pair of stereo earphones and can be used with any pair of stereo headphones or earphones. It is powered by two AA batteries, and when connected, does not interfere with the audio and video signals sent to the television.

Suggested retail is $24.95, including one pair of stereo extended-cord earbuds. Shipping begins in November.

Product versions to support Nintendo 64 and Sega Dreamcast will be available in the first quarter of 2001.
