Capitol Sales Moves To Increase Shipping Capacity

By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 12/21/2007

St. Paul, Minn. — Capitol Sales Company has announced plans to install a new shipping roller system as part of an effort to enhance support to its nationwide dealer network.

According to the company, this move has tripled Capitol Sales’ daily processing capacity in customer shipping, a strategy expected to allow it to “accelerate growth while maintaining a 98.5 percent same-day shipping performance.”

“This investment enables our customers the ability to keep their inventory costs low — they rely on us day-in and day-out for fast delivery,” said Curt Hayes, president and chief financial officer. “Every day we look for opportunities to constantly improve our warehouse management. We need to maintain our performance standards, especially as we achieve continued growth.”

In other news, Capitol Sales has issued its 490-page annual catalog for 2008. It features products from more than 125 manufacturers and is said to be available in four formats: print, CD, PDF and online as a searchable database. The company said the online version is updated daily with new products, images and pricing. For a copy, call 1-800-INSTALL (467-8255) or email info@capitolsales.com.

Finally, Capitol has also recently added six Panasonic plasma displays to its line card. The company said the displays are specifically designed for commercial use and are to be offered in sizes ranging between 37 inches to 65 inches.
